Welcome to Comic Error
and thank you for taking the time to read.
Four months ago I walked into Westfield Comics for the first time and
bought Batman #22 because I woke up that morning with an itch. This was my first time buying a comic and I
found it overwhelming, in the best kind of way.
Walking through the door looking for a Batman comic I was first struck
by the selection. There were 11 comics
on the rack that constituted “the Batman comics,” half of them didn’t even have
Batman in the title and on top of that I didn’t know if any of them were
related. Now I’m a regular, making my
weekly stop on Wednesday as well as a random, “I’m in the area so why not stop
in and look around for a bit?” My hope
is that this blog might offer some insight to those that are new to comics as
well as those who are looking to keep tabs on what is going on in the comic
community (event/writer/artist/industry news).
Over the next couple weeks I hope to establish a regular
publishing schedule that will include reviews, previews, news, event coverage,
and an editorial here and there. I will
be reviewing this week’s comics throughout the week as well as posting a Noob Guide of terms that all comic book
readers should be familiar with. Thanks for reading.
